Book in advance for a more efficient holiday
The most effective way to get ready for your holiday is to book as much in advance as possible.
You can book in advance here on the website accommodation, SkiPass, ski hire, ski school and tables at our restaurants. This makes check-in and ski drop-off, for example, much quicker, which can be nice after a long car journey.

Best route to Stöten
If you choose to take the car to Sälen and drive via Mora, we recommend that you take the road via Oxberg and Evertsberg as this road is regularly cleared of snow. You can read more about travelling to Stöten and download directions here!
Road works start autumn 2023
From autumn 2023, there will be roadworks on Vasaloppsvägen from Fiskarheden to Oxberg via Evertsberg. This is expected to take 3 years and travellers towards Sälen are advised to take alternative routes. Read more at the Swedish Transport Agency's website.
Cashless facility
Cash is not king! Note that all of Stöten in Sälen AB is now a cashless facility.

The tours are led by experienced mountain guides so that you can feel safe and secure on a reasonably long tour in the wonderful nature of the Stöten area.During the tours we make stops so that you have the opportunity to look at the view and nature, take pictures or ask questions. - Wolf club activities. Vargy is Stöten's mascot and the nicest wolf in the world. He organises activities and games for the children every day and makes sure that the children have a lot of fun and is responsible for ski competitions, children's après-ski, treasure hunts and lots of other fun things.In the Wolf Club there is lots of fun for all children between 3 and 8 years old. Alternative routes to Stöten
During certain weeks, the traffic situation around Sälen and Mora is significantly affected by the Vasaloppet and school holiday traffic. Therefore, we recommend some alternative routes to and from Stöten and Sälen.
