Ski hire, shop & workshop

In Stöten we offer 3 different ski hire options

At Stöten, we make it easy to get out on the slopes. In order for you as a guest to have as simple and smooth an experience as possible when you rent your equipment, Stöten offers three different ski rentals: Stöten Ski Shop Soltorget, Kaisers Skidbod Vattufjäll and Kaisers Skidbod Mountain Lodge.

The common denominator is, of course, that the skis are always freshly sharpened, freshly waxed and of the latest models.

All the equipment for your stay in Sälen

In Stöten you will find all the equipment for your stay in Sälen. Book packages or complete your equipment with single items.

ATTENTION! Pre-book your equipment at least 5 days before arrival.

What type of package should I choose?

  • Bottom: for those who are new to the slopes. You ski mostly in green and blue slopes. The ski you get is a soft and flexible ski that gives you good conditions to learn to turn.
  • Means: for those who have skied before. You ski in a controlled manner and master most descents but thrive best on blue and red slopes. The ski is a little harder and thus more stable when you start to get more speed.
  • Advanced: For those who ski all the slopes. You've skied a lot before and can tackle any slope on the mountain. The ski is more torsionally stiff, which makes it more stable at higher speeds and on tougher runs.
  • Premium: For those who ski a lot. You love speed and want the ski to respond when you push. The ski is very torsionally stiff and speed stable, making it nimble with a lot of response.

Ski hire in Stöten

No matter how long your stay in Stöten in Sälen is, you can always rent skis with us. Choose from skis for different ski styles and for ages from the very youngest! For the toddlers, helmets are included in the ski hire.

With us, you can hire a complete package of equipment including skis, boots and poles - or individual items if you bring your own.

Cross-country ski hire

Cross-country skiing is popular with all ages! We have the equipment for the whole family - take the kids on a trip, with your backpack full of food for a full day of cross-country skiing. Or why not a solo trip of a couple of hours?

Snowboard hire

As with our other ski hire services, you can choose to hire complete snowboard equipment or individual pieces. Snowboarding isn't just for the pros and adventurous teens, adults can ride too - and the little kids. Keep in mind that your regular ski boots won't work for snowboarding, so if you want to rent a snowboard you'll also need the right kind of boots.

Hire of ski boots and other individual items

Whatever your ski style and size, you can always rent ski boots in Stöten and Sälen. Perfect if you want to try a new style during your ski holiday. You can also rent:

  • rods
  • helmets
  • child harnesses.

Safe riding starts with the right equipment

When you hire equipment from Stöten, you get more than just skis and boots - you get peace of mind, quality and personalised service right from the start. Our knowledgeable staff will help you find the right equipment, so that everything fits properly and feels comfortable from the very first turn.

In our workshop, we grind and wax with love, both rented and own equipment, so that you always get the most out of your days on the slopes. For us, skiing is about feeling - and it starts even before you snap on your ski boots.
