Bet on the low season
This tip may seem a bit contradictory because the point of last minute is that you don't have to plan. What you can do, however, is plan to do a last-minute holiday at some point during a specific period - for example, at the beginning of February. Choose a period when there is less pressure on ski holidays, for example between the holidays, so you can get better prices and more attractive accommodation.

If you like to be on top of things and want to know exactly how everything will turn out in advance, the last minute may not be for you - but if you dare to let go of the reins, you can actually find ski holidays really good value. Have a plan
If you find a great offer, it can be tempting to just book-book-book without thinking! But make sure you double-check everything before you click the book button. For example, double check that the dates are correct, that you have everything you need for a ski holiday and that everything works out. Check prices regularly
Accommodation prices tend to remain fairly stable throughout the winter season - except during the high season when they tend to rise slightly. Sometimes, however, really good deals come up and they tend to go quickly. Know what you need to take with you no matter when you go
Think about packing
Even if you don't know exactly when you're going and maybe not even if it's going to happen, it's good to know what you need to bring. Once you find a good deal, it will be a little easier to "go for it" if you already have an idea of what to pack. If you're bringing your own equipment, make sure it's in working order so that there are no unforeseen complications when it's time to leave.
Talk to the people you are travelling with
If you're travelling with family, this may be a given, but if you want to go with friends, it might be a good idea to discuss it with them as early as possible. Talk it over - and even if you don't decide on the exact time, it's a good idea to have a common understanding of when you plan to go and who is really interested.
