Group holidays to Swedish ski resorts

In recent years, group holidays to the Swedish mountains - not least to the popular Stöten ski resort in Sälen - have become hugely popular with Danes. Snow, skiing and unforgettable experiences beckon, but what about transport and logistics? Here are our top tips for a successful group trip to Swedish ski resorts.

Which mode of transport is most suitable for your group?

Transport and logistics

There are several options for getting to and from the Swedish mountains, but first you need to decide which mode of transport is best for your group. If you are a group of more than five people, a private car may be a slightly less favourable option as costs can quickly add up with fuel costs for multiple cars. Otherwise, your priorities and preferences in terms of transport modes will determine the choice.

Minimise travel time by air

If you prioritise a short and efficient journey, flying is definitely an option to consider. Thanks to Scandinavian Mountains AirportLocated right next to the popular ski resort Sälen, you can now easily fly to the mountains from several Danish cities with a flight time of just one hour.

Make transport part of the journey by bus

If you see transport as a fun and sociable part of the overall travelling experience, the bus is probably the best option for you. You can either book a seat on one of the existing bus routes run by private operators or you can hire your own bus transport, either with or without a driver.

If you choose the latter option, we at Stöten in Sälen can help you with this. Stöten works closely with the Swedish bus company Traveller Buss - contact us we will help you with a quote that includes everything from food on the bus journey to the driver's stay on site.

If you book your group trip via Stöten in Sälen, we'll be with you every step of the way, from planning to implementation. We'll help you tailor the programme for your stay with activities both on and off the slopes. And of course you can always contact us if you have any questions or concerns about your stay, both before and during your holiday.

A warm welcome to Sälen - the whole gang!
