The best skiing in Sälen

With 50 runs of varying terrain and difficulty, Stöten offers skiing for the whole family. With everything from wide and flat slopes for beginners and children to really steep and challenging slopes for the experienced skier, you are guaranteed to find something that suits you and your family. We also offer a full 45 kilometres of cross-country trails, both on the mountain and down in the valley, so you can vary your skiing days greatly if you wish.

Children's ski school in Sälen

Attending a ski school is the perfect start to a skiing career - especially for children. Here, instructors teach skiing techniques in an educational and fun way that allows children to learn the basics in a flash! But remember that the ski school is not just for children, even adults and experienced skiers have a lot to gain from taking a ski lesson! Our trained and competent ski instructors will quickly identify your areas of improvement that can take your skiing to a whole new level.

Child friendly mountain lodges in Sälen

In Stöten and Sälen there are many different types of accommodation to choose from - all suitable for families with children. Depending on your preferences and requirements, and how many people you have in your family, different accommodation will suit you differently.

Mountain huts. Perhaps the most popular option for families with children is to stay in a cosy mountain chalet during your holiday. This way you can stay close to nature while having all the comforts you could possibly need. In Stöten, there are many different types of cabins to choose from, ranging from simple mountain cabins to large, grand luxury cabins. Think about what you want and need from your holiday cottage and choose accordingly. Our cabins are located in the following areas Mountain village, Sun Square Village, Granbyn, Solhem, Granfjällsbyn, Kronoparken, Stöten Ranch and Mountain Village. Hotels. At Stötentorget in the heart of Stöten you will find our cosy ski hotel Best Western. Here you can stay in nice, newly renovated hotel rooms with all the amenities you can imagine. With the ski slope right outside the door and both restaurants and children's activities just a stone's throw from the hotel, holidays with children will be a breeze!
Apartments. If you are a large family or planning to travel with other families, our apartments in Rachen Lodge or Pistol Village good option. There are spacious apartments for up to eight people and access to shared indoor spaces where you can socialise together. For smaller groups, other apartment options are also available at Skidtorget. There are both smaller semi-detached houses with room for four people and larger apartments with up to ten beds. In addition, you have walking distance to Stöten's perhaps best children's slope!
Aparthotel. If you want to live in the centre of everything but still have access to your own kitchen, our aparthotel Stöten Centre a good option. Given that the hotel is located in the middle of the slopes, you won't have to deal with complicated transport or car journeys to and from the slopes - something that is very much appreciated by parents with young children.
