Vargy in the studio during the recording of his big hit

"Aoo - what does Vargy say to you?". You haven't missed Vargy's big hit, have you? A crazy swinging story that is hummed by both parents and children. Stöten Magazine got to hang out with Vargy for a day in the studio!

It's a sunny autumn day when we meet Vargy at Streamline Studios in Västerås. Vargy shakes his paw and shows us around. He offers us coffee and introduces us to Streamline Studios Mr Erik Halvarsson and Mr Michael Clauss who are both the creators of Vargy's forthcoming worldwide hit "What does Vargy say?"

"I imagined Vargy standing up there on the mountain, calling out to the children. I also imagined winter, skiing and joy. It's great fun to work with Vargy. We thought the song should spread joy, be repetitive and easy to remember, and really catchy."

says producer and songwriter Erik Halvarsson, who wrote the lyrics.

"We both feel when we start to find our way in songwriting, when we both feel that 'phase, this is good'. You have to believe in the song idea one hundred per cent. If you have the slightest doubt about whether the song is really good, it will never be good in the end."

says Michael Clauss.

Well said, Vargy!

Vargy sits down at the piano and practises for the upcoming singing performance. "Who walks around in the mountains all day? Who sleeps sweetly at night under a fir tree? Who is it that has fur so thick and warm? Always kind and so happy, tell me who can it be?".

And how it swings!

"Aoo, there it is!", Vargy roars happily and high-fives Erik, who wrote the lyrics to "What does Vargy say?".

Going for gold

At Streamline Studios in Västerås, artists such as Brolle, Magnus Carlsson, Thorleifs and Rolandz have recorded their work, to name but a few - so of course the studio is an excellent birthplace for the purple snowman "What does Vargy say"?
